the men’s Spring 2016 season

it’s no secret that the menswear market is at an all-time high. As per an article we ran earlier this year, men’s apparel sales are outpacing personal computers and liquor sales online, and the menswear business is growing about 0.8 percent faster than womenswear. That stands to make the men’s Spring 2016 season that’s upon us an exciting one.
In addition to the growing market, the upcoming shows promise the 10th anniversary of MAN London, bringing with it a showcase of new talent. London’s Fashion East also highlights young designers, while across the English Channel up-and-comers like Gosha Rubchinskiy, Pigalle, and Marcelo Burlon continue to gain steam. As for menswear’s big guns, Raf Simons has transformed his show into the notable event of the season, and we’ll be watching to see how Valentino’s Pierpaolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri top the Zoolander moment at their womenswear show in March. But don’t let us tell you what there is to look forward to this season. In the slideshow above, the top menswear buyers in the business share what they’re excited about for Spring 2016. You can bet that if it leaves a lasting impression on this bunch, it will be in stores and on the backs of the most fashionable men around by this time next year.
